FRIENDS

Friends are spirits
 who touch your heart
With just a twinkle
 at the start 
But love and laughter 
sets in place
The thing that is shared by the
 whole human race
To reach out and laugh or
 hug and cry
To think of fondly as you
 gaze at the sky
So where ever you go,
 what ever you do!

Friends are always
 there for you
So think of me as
 your friend
Who'll stand by yo
u till the end
We will stay up late
 and chat away
And sometimes just 
sit and pray

We are girlfriends 
and family too
We are always here 
for you
So when you are 
feeling Kinda low
lean on me and
 let me know

I'll send you hugs
 and special words
That will lift your 
spirit and soothe 
your soul
That is what friends
 are for

A FRIEND TO ME......
A friend to me is always there 
through the good times and the bad,
Even when I do the things 
that sometimes makes them mad.
A friend to me will not judge 
the things I do or say,
A true friend would never 
judge me that way.
A friend to me will not try to 
control the things I say or do,
And if you try to control me, 
our friendship is not true.
A friend to me is in my 
heart and there they will always be,
That is where I keep the 
friends that mean so much to me.
A friend to me will make me 
laugh when I am feeling blue,
That is what a good friend 
often tries to do.
A friend to me will always 
hold a special part of my heart,
And may our friendship 
always grow and never shall we part.
I hope some day we can all see,
This is what a friend should be.
You see friendships are so 
special and they grow more everyday,
There is always room in your 
heart for that special friend to stay.
Treat them as you want them 
to treat you from the very start,
And you will share your 
friendship and never ever part.

DON'T LOOK BACK

As you travel through life
there are always those times
when decisions just have to be made
when the choices are hard,
and solutions seem scarce
and the rain seems
to soak your parade!


There are some situations
where all you can do
is to simply let go and move on
gather courage together
and choose a direction
that carries you toward a new dawn.


So pack up your troubles
and take a step forward
the process of change can be tough
but think about all the excitement ahead
if you can be stalwart enough!


There could be adventures
you never imagined
just waiting around the next bend
and wishes and dreams
just about to come true
in ways you can't yet comprehend!


Perhaps you'll find friendships
that spring from new interests
as you challenge your status quo
and learn there are so many
options in life,
and so many ways you can grow!


Perhaps you'll go places
you never expected
and see things that you've never seen
or travel to fabulous,
faraway worlds
and wonderful spots in between!


Perhaps you'll find warmth
and affection and caring-
a "somebody special" who's there
to help you stay centered
and listen with interest
to stories and feelings you share.


Perhaps you'll find comfort
in knowing your friends are
supportive of all that you do
and believe that whatever
decisions you make,
they'll be the right choices for you!


So keep putting one foot
in front of the other
and taking your life
day by day.


There's a brighter tomorrow
that's just down the road.
Don't look back-
you're not going that way!

A Friend Like You

There's lots of things
With which I'm blessed,
My problems have been few,
But of all, this one's the best:
To have a friend like you.

In times of trouble
Friends will say, 
"Just ask, I'll help you through it."
But you don't wait for me to ask,
You just get up and do it!

suggests, and may complain,
but no matter where they are 
from, the friendship remains.
Some Internet friends have 
never met, and others met just once.
Some have joined one 
another for dinners,
others have for lunch.
You are my Internet friend,
we have a wonderful time,
Of the friends on the Internet, 
I'm glad you are mine.
Please stay in touch, our 
conversational chats are divine.
I am glad I am your friend and 
also that you are mine.

FOR YOU TODAY

I said a prayer for you today and
know God must have heard;
I felt the answer in my heart
although He spoke not a word.
I didn't ask for wealth or fame
(I know you wouldn't mind),
I asked for priceless treasures,
rare of a more lasting kind.
I prayed that He'd be near to
you at the start of each new
day, to grant you health,
and blessings fair, and friends to
share your way. I asked for
happiness for you in all things
great and small, but you know
His loving care, that is the
best of all.

To Touch The Heart

To touch the heart of someone dear -
though it might sometimes cause a tear
to fall or rest upon the cheek -
Should be something all should seek.

For often hearts - not touched at all
start hardening and shrinking small.
And then the time - it takes to grow
A loving heart - is very slow.

For hearts expand as those who care -
extend their love and - let us share
a moment, space or special phrase
that eases pain on dreary days.
Or simply starts our lips to smile
and brightens time for just a while.

The ways and kinds and means of sharing
it seems to me - Are based on caring.
And though we're often worlds apart,
You still can touch my very heart.
You make me smile or shed a tear.
And I'll remember year to year
Just how your 'touching' helped me grow.
And I just thought I'd tell you so.

RECIPE FOR
FRIENDSHIP

Fold two hands together
And express a dash of sorrow
Marinate it overnight
And work on it tomorrow

Chop one grudge in tiny pieces
Add several cups of love
Dredge with a large sized smile
Mix with the ingredients above

Dissolve the hate within you
By doing a good deed
Cut in and help your friend
If he should be in need

Stir in laughter, love, and kindness
From the heart it has to come
Toss with genuine forgiveness
And give your neighbor some

The amount of people served
Will depend on you
It can serve the whole wide world
If you really want it to
