Fickle Records is preparing to release a full-length CD of tracks with original writing and instrumentation. The CD will let unsigned artists showcase their talents in a three or four minute burst instead of an album requiring money, time, and energy.

What kind of music is Fickle looking for? Any and all, though if there were to be a theme of the company, it would focus on modern alternative music based somewhere between guitar rock and cacophinical electronica. Check out some of Fickle's artist sub-pages to listen to some of their signed acts' music.

How can you join the compilation? Contact Fickle through e-mail (demo@ficklerecords.com) with some information about your style of music, a little about the track to be submitted, and a way to reach you. Eventually (or right away, depending on the stage of development of your music), you need to send a demo to Fickle (see main page for address(es)) for review. If the recording seems good enough to make the album, a final recording will be needed. If you don't have access to professional recording equipment and services, Fickle may be able to help depending on your geogaphic location.

Who's paying for all the production and do I get any of the profits? Fickle will edit, mix, and pre-master the final cut and will financially support the project from start to finish. If your track makes the CD, it will be copyrighted (in your name) along with the rest, and you will own full rights to the song. The primary intention of the CD is to expose acts, though it will be for sale via the internet and mail. The CD will be available to participants for a very low price ($2-$3 range) which they can sell for any amount and therefore, any profit.

Write Fickle with specific concerns and be sure to check back periodically for updates of this page.
