My Camel and I
By Didi
I went for a wild ride last night
Across the hot burning desert sand
The stars were shining oh so bright
And I didn't even see one other man
The sands were blowing in my face
My camel was keeping an even pace
He took me further and futher away
I thought he would never bring me back
The moon was full but the night was dark
I couldn't even hear one cyote bark
I dreamed of being in the good old U.S.A.
But really I was in Egypt far away
My camel started to run with me
While I tried my best to hold on
I was jostled here, I was jostled there
I thought this camel isn't being fair
So I climed down from my camel's back
And I went up front to have a talk with him
He looked me right in the eye
Then he spit, all over my chin
I gave my camel a little swat
With a small switch I held im my hand
I scolded him with a temper so hot
I didn't know if he understood me or not
Then I climed back on my camels back
I forced him to turn back toward town
He was very mad at me
Thats why he bit me on the knee
He took me past the pyramids of the desert sand
Off into the Valley of the Kings
To the place where the Great Sphinx stood
He did the things I thought he would
I went for a wild ride last night
Across the hot burning desert sand
The stars were shining oh so bright
When the ride was over he and I had a fight
We had a big fight my camel and I
But he won
