Here are a list of awards, etc. Hanson has won/received/accomplished - 1997/1998.

* General: Released 4 albums - 3 platinum (MON, 3 CAR, Snowed In), 1 gold (I'm sure LFA will catch up soon enough!) MON is quadruple platinum. * Videos: TTMON is quintuple platinum (#1 music video - BB 1998); RTA is platinum.

* Again, there may be lots of left out, I just thought I'd share it with you. These are just neat facts to think about in the interim while we wait for the new album!

* Kathy

For the year end charts for Billboard for top music video (longform): Hanson, TTMON is #1 for the year, BSB's All Access Video is #2, Hanson's RTA is #28, and N'Sync' In the Mix is #29. I think they must do the charts from 12/97 to 12/98. Anyway, its kinda poetic justice, don't you think? As of October (before it fell off the top 40 longform videos) Hanson's TTMON video is quintuple platinum in the USA (500,000 copies sold - 100,000 copies is platinum for a video instead of 1M like a CD).

Also, for the BB 200 albums year-end chart: MON is #41, Snowed In is #81, and 3 Car Garage is #153. Hanson is #5 on the year-end BB charts for Top 200 Album Artists-Duo or Group for their 4 albums released this year and #11 for overall Top 200 Album Artists. Hanson are #50 on the Hot 100 Singles of 1998 for BB.

For Jan. 9, 1999 BB issue, RTA is holding at #7, LFA is at #109.

More to come with the groups of the 1970s........

How does Hanson stack up against all those groups of yesteryear that they have been compared to? I've compared Platinum and gold singles, #1 Hits, and # of Top 40 hits. I am comparing Hanson to The Beatles, The Beach Boys, New Kids on the Block, The Jackson 5, The Osmonds, and The Partridge Family.
