All about the Hanson Fans who run this page

The creators of the page

We are sisters who share a common interest--Hanson of course! Our names are Kim and Michelle, we are 32 and 29 years old.
We decided to create this page to better spread the word about our favorite group. We hope to help people understand and appreciate all that Hanson stands for. We feel that their talents reach far beyond what many people perceive them to be. They are much more than "three blonde teenagers", as they have said many times "listen to the music"!

Kim...I have my bachelor's degree in criminal justice, majoring in forensic psychology (get it...Hansonology)and plan to get my master's degree in psychology also. Hey I will not have to pay someone else to counsel me when I am commited for my Hanson addictions. I live in North Carolina and I have two daughters, their names are Caitlin and Emily. So who am I? I am a very hyper person who can not sit still for very long unless you put a computer in front of me. Believe it or not, I am a naturally shy person until you get to know me and then you can not shut me up. I am just basically a silly person who likes to have "tons of fun" I love the outdoors, any music with good beat, dancing, reading anything I can get my hands on, my computer, and Hanson of course!

Michelle...O.K., I'm going to share some information about myself..since I think of myself as a private person this is a BIG step! I work at a community college where I am the Lead Teacher in a lab preschool. I have two girls, Rebecca and Marlayna. I like to read, camp, walk and just generally enjoy nature! I have to admit that while on my recent vacation I did a crazy thing! I went on a space coaster (like in the video TTMON where Hanson was hooked to the cables and flying through the air!)The one I went on was 300ft up and when I came down I was going 74 mph WOW!!! Do you think I should add this to the obsession page?

Miscellaneous thought from us...

"We have always had similiar interests when it came to music, so it was only natural that we would both enjoy Hanson!" (Michelle)

"This webpage ties together four different loves of mine, my love of Hanson, my love of writing, my love of computers, and my love of my best friend...my sister Michelle" (Kim)

"We basically came up with the name Hansonology because of my study of psychology...in fact I was always going around joking with friends and family, telling them that I was a certified Hansonologist and knew everything about Hanson...little did I know that my joking would develop into such a wonderful opportunity to tell the whole world how Michelle and I feel about Hanson." (Kim)

**The following girls give us tons of help with the page** A very special THANK YOU goes out to them!

Tanya...I first became interested in Hanson when I saw the “MMMBop” video. Aside from the awesome song (it was a HUGE relief from grunge), I admired the relationship the guys had with one another and the fun they had. The relationship reminded me of my own relationship with my sister/family.

I bought the album, read hundreds of teenage magazines, bought lots of biographies and the rest, as they say, is history. I don’t have a favourite Hanson or song; I love them ALL! I find that my *favourites* change from day to day! One day I will be in love with Ike, the next it will be a song like “MMMBop” or Zac. I think this is cool cause you’re always *rediscovering* songs or finding new things to love about the guys!

As for me personally, I love music. My house has always had a wide variety of music and my friends often accuse me of having “weird” musical tastes (before the age of 13, I didn’t know about pop and the charts, I only ever heard 60’s rock music!). I love to dance, body board and hang out with friends and family. My family is the MOST important thing to me in the world! I have just started college where I am studying commerce and information technology (computing). I hope that my career will allow me to travel to the States. I love to travel and would love to meet all my Internet friends.

I would like to thank Michelle and Kim for the opportunity to work on the page and become a ‘Hansonologist’. I’d also like to thank Hanson for making awesome music, being wonderful people and role models and for giving me, and so many other Hanson fans, the opportunity to meet wonderful people like Michelle and Kim, whom I probably would not have met otherwise. Thanks!!

Mo (Sunshine Girl)...Mo helps us all the way from Olympia Washington.... Hi, I am Mo. I am a Hanson Fan. I am working my way to be a "Hansonologist!" Why? Well, why not? Sometimes...when you find something in life that inspires you so, as Hanson and their music has for me, you want to know more about it. And in this case...it is never work, or a hardship learning about Hanson, it is an enjoyment.

Enjoyment...it all began with that one song: MMMBop. It was the hook. Then the video, then the TV appearances, and then...I discovered THE INTERNET!! Here, I was able to pick up all sorts of useless, unnecessary info such as toothbrush colors of the Hanson brothers. (I dont care what color, I think it is just nice if anyone uses one.) Or even well, lots of unmentionables! I slowly did find some wonderful ways Hanson and their music has touched so many lives, in so many special ways. What I found most exciting, however, was the fun ways Hanson has "infiltrated" our lives. The little things that we now do (eat more Eggos, buy tons of teeny magazines)....the things that we now say (typical conversations with me now include Hanson-used words as: "holy wow, inasmuch, oftimes" or even the made up words: itZACtyly, TAYriffic, IKEcellent)...the things that maybe even we now wear (yes, we even make our own Hanson T-shirts at home.) One may try to deny the silly influences these three fellas have had on a fans life..but it's there, just look and listen! Hansonology has for me (an adult fan,) shown me that I am not alone. I had only met in the past a few adult fans, and we enjoy the company of many younger fans, but it was to me, personally a joy to find other adults who have "FUN" in their lives simply because of Hanson music. I am finding now that many adult fans are becoming more accepted. We have alot of barriers to battle because of who we are, our age, etc., but I believe it was Hanson themselves who said something to the effect: "It's not about our age, it's about the music."

Me... --I work, I have a home with a husband, two children, and two cats. (Hi Chris, Chelsea, Buddy, Lou and Phoebe!)

--I love movies that make me laugh...occasionally we all need a good cry, so a sad movie will do now and then. I have no desire to see Hanson act in a movie...but I would love to see them produce, direct and definatly create the SOUNDTRACK for one. (Their music is the soundtrack to my life.)

--I love music. Music is an expression of our emotions that involves many of our senses. We can hear the music. We can see the performers of music. We can feel the music: dance, the beat, and the emotions brought forth. "Music doesn't have to "come" from on place, but if it's a good song, it's a good song." Zac Hanson Any emotion can bring forth music. Hanson does an excellent job of doing just that, sharing emotions and helping us discover our own. AND they are "good songs!" --I love laughter. "A good laugh is sunshine in a house." William M. Thackeray Zac Hanson stole a chunk of my heart with that giggle he has. Of course, its more than that giggle, it's his honesty, his outlook, his clear insight that hits you like a bullet at times, his place in his family, his talent, his style, oh...did I mention his GRIN??? AHHH!! I love this kid! His brothers are really great..but Zac just makes me smile......alot!

--I love my computer. I have a new toy, with which I am able to help Hansonology out. A scanner, they are great...get one if you can! So...you may be able to see some of the "eye candy" I have sent to Hansonology.(putting all those magazines to work!) And hey, if there happens to be alot of pics of Zac laughing or grinning...IT'S THE SCANNER...NOT ME!!!!! I love being able to connect with lots of different people thru the net: fellow Hanson Fans, old school mates, best friends, and who knows...if I ever get an IM from "MMMBop" you'll hear me scream all the way from the evergreen state known as: Washington! (hey, it could happen!)

Kathy (Kat)...Kathy did not start out expecting to be a part of Hansonology...but she is now. She is what we call our research expert. She finds all of the neat little statistics you find in certain places of our page. She is a music trivia buff. She lives in Texas and is 31 and is my (Kim's) Hanson bud. We started becoming friends because of our love for Hanson. She had signed a guestbook at another adult webpage and she wrote some things about Taylor that just caught my eye. So I (Kim) wrote to her and the rest is history shall we say. She has become a very close friend and a tremendous help with the page. Most people do not realize the amount of work that goes into a page and Michelle and I have no time to look up all of those facts so we were grateful when she started sending them to us. Now she is part of the team that brings you all of the great stuff that makes you all laugh.

Jodie... Itz me...Jodie! I live in Janesville, Wisconsin and I'm a Tayaholic. I'm 31 years old (gasp! twice Taylor's age). I'm not a sicko or anything...I just think he is a beautiful human being. I love his personality and admire his talent. Isaac, Taylor, and Zac all astound me with their musical talent! I have an 8 year old daughter and a husband. (oh yeah, his name is Brian) I am a bartender/manager. I only include the manager part because there is a certificate on the wall where I work that says I am a manager. I did take a class at the local tech college to get that certification. But still I don't get no respect! Hanson has enriched my life in so many ways! For one thing, I'd never even considered owning a computer. But I couldn't stand it every time I heard Taylor say "Hansonline.com" I just had to find out what I was missing. So with not much knowledge of computers, I bought one. It took me 3 days just to figure out how to get to Hansonline.com, but now I'm hooked. I'm still not a computer whiz, but I manage. Hanson has also brought fun back into my life. I feel younger and happier than ever! I was very happy to get to go to 2 concerts this summer--Detroit/Pine Knob and Milwaukee. Wow, what a blast! I'm very honored to be a part of Hansonology...sniffle...

Regina...

First let me say that I am HONORED to work with all these ladies on this HANSON website! Woo Hoo!!!

Married: Yes! 15 years to my "childhood" sweetheart, Andy.

Daughters: Jessica is 11 & Amy is 7.

B-day: May 14, 62. Hanson was on the Rosie show for my birthday! Great present! Thanks guys!! I was feeling kind of worried about going passed a "hump" year! Your a young as you feel and music makes me feel young!

Fave musicians: HANSON, Dc talk, Rich Mullins & the list goes on...

Likes: Listening to music, drawing, reading. I quit the piano when I had children, but guess what band has encouraged me to sign-up for lessons again this Fall? :)

Dislikes: Clueless D.J.'s!!! What happened to playing what the listener asks for?? I'm passed "peer pressure" . I guess the D. J's still have a growing up problems to contend with. Sorry, I just hate their ATTITUDE. I'll get off of my soapbox now :)

We are stationed near Dayton, Oh. Andy is a meteorologist (a weather guesser) in the Air Force. Our homestate is West Virginia. We are from a VERY small town.

I am the all around homemaker, church & school volunteer, and whatever else needs to be done, kind of person.

I have ALWAYS been into music!! I fell in love with "Crimson & Clover" when I was in 1st grade & my love for music has never stopped. I have listened to all sorts of music during different stages of my life. When Hanson came out I had QUIT listening to the radio because, in MHO, it was boring & seemed to have gone too commercial. The problem with avoiding the radio was that I didn't hear about Hanson until NOV. when I caught them on the ABC show. I heard them sing "MMMBop" & I quickly sat up & took notice!! Wow, I REALLY liked that song!!

After immersing myself into their music, I came to find about the Hanson guys themselves. They seem to be a very loving family & the guys treat the people they meet as if they had been lifelong friends. Wonderful personalities! They constantly amaze me.

I caught them in DC & Cinci & their stage show rocks!! Not only do they make fantastic music, but they involve their fans in the show. Either by getting the fans to clap, jump etc., including us in the water battles, or amusing us as Hanson does water battles amongst themelves!!! They try so hard to get on a personal level with their fans. Other bands need to take lessons from them :)

To make a long story short, Hanson has caught me hook, line & sinker and I plan on staying that way for many years to come!
