Skardon families move

Three families have moved to new homes during the summer of 2000.
The Sittnicks moved on August 10th to Kansas. They had just moved into quarters on post at Ft. Bragg when Steve received notification that he was being activated for Brigade command at Ft. Leavenworth. Cava says the Colonel's quarters there have been in renovation so they probably will not have a house until October.
The Shelleys are building a new home in Mt. Pleasant, and until it is complete they are renting the home where Taylor and Nancy once lived. They moved into their new home during the Labor Day weekend.
The Taylor Skardons have moved to Hawaii again as Taylor prepares to take command of the USS OKANE (DDG 77). He writes:
"Nancy took custody of our house in the area on the base called Hospital Point after spending a month in the hotel with the girls (the first two days were great!). It is a nice neighborhood, but due to the lack of housing, we had to settle on a two bedroom duplex. Very small for the five of us, but Nancy is making it work.        The girls started school the first week in August and are enjoying their classes and their new friends."

He continues, "I will be in school in Dahlgren, Virginia (about 50 miles south of DC) until the 1st of September when I'll make the cross country trip to San Diego for another three weeks of school. The bright spot of these past few weeks has been my visits up to Mike's house. As many have experienced, he's quite the host!
The Change of Command has been set for thr 12th of December in Pearl Harbor. We welcome anyone who would like to attend, but appreciate the great distance you would have to travel."
