In the name of God Amen. I William CREEF of Currituck Co and state of North Carolina being very sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul unto the hands of all mighty God that give it me and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing douting but at the resurrection I shall receive the same again by the grace of almighty God and to share such wordly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to give me. I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.
First of all I give and bequeath to my well beloved sons Samuel MONCRIEF and Isaac MONCRIEF this tract of land which I now live on to be divided beginning ?? in the rear by my house and running up the ditch by the well strate to William LOOPMAN's line. Samuel to have the west side and Isaac to have the east part to them and their heirs forever. I likewise lend to my well beloved wife Suzanne all my singular household goods and stock within doors and without to pay debts with and to raise my children upon during her natural life. And do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments, wills, legacies, bequests, executors by me in any wise before ?? bequeathed. Rattifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this sixteen day of March in the year of our Lord 1791. I leave my well beloved wife Suzanner CREEF and Mr. James BRUNT Executors to this my last Will and Testament.
