Nathaniel Lindsay

Nathaniel LINDSAY, son of Hazael LINDSAY and Sarah FORD, was born 10 February 1832 in Versailles, Ripley Co., Indiana. Nathaniel died 26 August 1921 in Crawford County, Illinois, and was buried in the Ford-Montgomery Cemetery at Crawford Co., Illinois.

Nathaniel married Lucinda FORD 27 November 1852 in Crawford County, Illinois. She was born __ October 1834 in _________, Henry Co., Kentucky, the daughter of Samuel R. FORD and Elizabeth HAMBRICK. Died 26 Dec 1923 in _________, Crawford Co., Illinois, and was buried in the Ford-Montgomery Cemetery.

The Flat Rock Journal, in its 31 Aug 1916 issue calls them the oldest living couple in Crawford County. This story also includes their pictures. They were farmers and members of the Canaan Primitive Baptist Church. He was a Republican.
