The following are the minimum requirements that must be satisfied prior to receiving a deficiency plan from the Prairie View A&M University Alternative Teacher Certification Program:

Individual must have a four-year degree.

Individual must submit official transcripts for all college work.

Proof of passage of all three sections of the TASP exam.

An overall grade point average of 2.5 or better on all college coursework.

Individual can be deficient in no more than 9 hours of coursework in the area in which he/she is seeking certification.

Completion of ATCP application and payment of the application fee.
