John5 Landers (Thomas4, John3-2, Thomas1), born about 1783, probably after his father removed to Maine.

He married 3 Jul 1806 Sarah Bates (Fairfield, Maine, Town Records).

His mother requested the Court to appoint him administrator of his father’s estate; we have seen he submitted his accounting in April 1810. Whether he remained in the vicinity of Fairfield, or moved elsewhere doubtless can be discovered by reference to deeds, probates, and subsequent Census records. It seems probable that he had issue, as further search may show. [Lydia B. (Phinney) Brownson and Maclean W. McLean, "Thomas1 Landers of Sandwich, Mass.," NEHGR 124:275]
