BAKER, JOANNA, educator, linguist, was born Feb. 14, 1862,
in New Rochelle, Ill. She received a thorough education; is a
fine linguist; and now fills the chair of Greek, language, literature
and philosophy in the Simpson College of Indianola, Iowa. As a
lecturer she has also attained success.
