With
the most explosive stage show on the planet
fused with an endless supply of musical ingenuity, it is little wonder why MANDORiCO
has garnered an underground following the size of Costa Rica and has sold in
excess of 10,000 copies of their first two independent releases, Familiar
Places and Afrocubanhiphopcaribbeanrock. Since MANDORiCO’s inception in 1997, its nine
members have maintained a rigorous touring schedule, assaulting the eastern
seaboard with over 700 live performances. MANDORiCO
has participated in almost every major musical event that the east coast has to
offer and shared the stage with diverse national and international acts
including the late great Tito Puente, The Wailers, Celia Cruz, Smashmouth, Toots
and the Maytals, UB40 and the Foo Fighters. MANDORiCO has made appearances on major network
television and had their music showcased on MTV’s Real World, Road Rules and
The Today Show with Katie Couric.
MANDORiCO’s
“wall of sound” is built of horns, percussion, loud guitars and multiple
vocals which smash together urban, rock, reggae, Latin and punk yielding an
incomparable musical monster. The
band has paved its own sonic path and continues to recruit an ever-increasing
number of fans as their music travels outside the U.S., resounding in
dancehalls and over radio waves in Central and South America.

Fall
of 2002 will see the release of FLAMATAM, the band’s first full-length
recording in over two years. Written
and recorded over the course of 18 months during and in between tours, MANDORiCO
has come up with their most powerful and inspired collection of hits to date.
FLAMATAM will be a multi-media release, including studio footage
and a live video from their recent show at the Cotton Club in Atlanta, GA. A relentless group of seasoned road dogs, armed with an
arsenal of dance-oriented music that will unleash frenzy on any audience, MANDORiCO
is poised to take over the world and reign supreme.
