Mrs. Minnie Goforth Campbell was born in Iola, May 17, 1882, and passed away at her home in Petrolia on October 25, 1918, Age 36 years, 5 months and 8 days. Her death was due to pneumonia induced by the Spanish influenza.

She was united in marriage to J. W. Campbell, October 9, 1900 and to that union were born seven daughters and one son, Hattie, Chester, Helen, Agnes, Catherine, Ruth, Evelyn and Hazel who passed away in infancy.

Soon after her marriage she joined the Christian church at Iola and though often far away from it still retained her membership there and was a member until the day of her death. She was also interested in and was a member of the W.C.T.U. and loved to attend their meetings and add her voice to those who stood for its principles.

She lived first at Iola then Kansas City then back to Iola, thence to Petrolia which was her final home.

The death of Minnie Campbell occurred at the home in Petrolia last night. She died of pneumonia after suffering several days with influenza. The funeral will be held tomorrow at the home of her father, Sam Wooten, 606 South Jefferson. Rev. A. P. Wilson will conduct the funeral services. Highland cemetery will be the place of burial.

Her interest in the work of the church did not lessen but her unfortunate affliction of blindness made it impossible for her to maintain her activity and she felt keenly the great loss she suffered.

She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her mother, husband and her children and a host of friends.

Burial was made on Sunday, October 27, at Highland cemetery, Rev. Wilson of the Christian church officiating.
