Hi All,

My wife runs a T.V. show at the local
state hospital and needs a calculator that will
add hours, minutes, and seconds.

Do you know of such an on-line devise?

Thank You,

Jim Allen

Thanks to all of you who sent me sites with the lyrics to "My Heart Will
Go On", and to the people who actually sent me the lyrics.

This site has some great Valentine clipart!

I told you about this site a week or two ago, but they've since added a new
section called Chocolinks. You'll find Valentine links after Valentine
links after Valentine links!

It's great!

                           Be My Valentine?

                        By Robin Nobles (2/13/98)

If you haven't bought your sweetie a gift yet, now is the time to rush
out to the store for a box of candy or a dozen roses. Let's see what
we can find on the Internet to celebrate the holiday of love.

We'll begin with a darling site for our little Valentines. Be My
Valentine from Billy Bear Storybook features adorable cards that kids
can print out for their friends, Valentine clipart, stationery for you
to print, and even a kissing booth, with separate doors for boys and
girls! Kids will love it!
http://www.worldvillage.com/kidz/bilybear/valentin/valentin.htm

At Bonnie's Valentine Page, you'll find links to online Valentine
greeting cards, learn how to say "I love you" in different languages,
and play Valentine games such as Love Me, Love Me Not. The site
features links to coloring pages, crafts, and recipes. Be sure to
click on the link at the top of the page for Valentine Fun for
Families.

Did you know that written valentines began to appear in the 1400's?
Learn the history of Valentines Day beginning in the 1400's through
the early 1800's when cards began to be assembled in factories. At
Amore' on the Net, you can also study the different types of handmade
valentines, such as pinprick or acrostic valentines.

Romeo and Juliet is one of the most beautiful, poignant love stories
of all time. Read about Shakespeare's famous couple at the Valentine's
Forever website.
http://www.invision.net/cupid/valentines_forever_romeo.html

At the Love Calculator, you can calculate the probability of a
successful relationship between two people. For the fun of it, I
plugged in my name and the name of my hubby, and our relationship only
has a 16% chance of working. Hmmmmm!

For a Christian's perspective of Valentine's Day, visit God's
Valentine where you'll learn the story of St. Valentine, a priest near
Rome around the year 270 A.D. The site also features Christian
Valentine links.

Did you know that each flower has a different meaning when sent to
someone? At the Simply Valentine site, you'll learn that a white rose
means charm and innocence, and a forget-me-not means true love.
Discover ways to celebrate Valentine's Day or read romantic poetry.

A site the whole family will enjoy is Valentine Fun. Learn how to make
Valentine crafts like heart people, a heart brooch, or a holiday
hairpiece. Get ideas for fun Valentine foods, or read some interesting
Valentine facts, like 3% of pet owners give Valentine's Day gifts to
their pets.

We'll close with a fantastic Valentine's Day site by Universal
Studios. Need help writing a love letter to your sweetie? You'll find
it here. A "must do" at this site is playing a game called Cupid's
Arrow. There are several levels, each a little harder than the first,
but it's a lot of fun!

For a wonderful collection of free Valentine clipart, visit The Clip Art of
Romance. You'll find animations, hearts, cupids, and more. Be sure to check
out the Chocolinks for Valentine sites all over the Net. It's really a
fantastic listing!

Hello Bestwebers:

I need some help. I've been searching for some of my grandpa's WWII Navy
buddies. So far, I've managed to find 14 living. However, there are more
to be found. Does anyone have a good website for finding lost people? I
have checked out the obvious ones...

www.switchboard.com
www.infospace.com
www.theultimates.com and so on.

I've tried the 'find lost friends' pages, like who-me.com, but have not
had much luck with these, as the lost people have to be signed up on those
pages in order to find them. I've searched the private investigator
pages, like www.pimall.com, and the ones you have to pay for. (I don't
have social security numbers, so those don't work).

I've also tried literally hundreds of the military sites, like WAE, and
the Navy Memorial pages, and the army searches, etc. I've also eliminated
some through the Social Security Death Index page on the ancestry.com
page.

Anybody else out there doing this kind of searching and having any luck?
I'd appreciate some help.

Thanks

Amy Snodgrass

I've got a question for people interested in how other people live.

Here's an example of the sort of everyday information I'm looking
for, from Germany. Basically, a substantial collection of fotos,
with information relating them to everyday life in Germany.
http://www.goethe.de/z/50/alltag/foto/deindex.htm

I got this from
http://www.goethe.de/dindex.htm
Remember, if you look at these, you can see translations (sort of)
by using
http://babelfish.altavista.digital.com/cgi-bin/translate?

Does anyone have similar visual/verbal cultural information for
other countries, in their native languages?

Thanks,

Cecilia
