The Mollica Family Overview

Takes a while to load, but worth it? (Left to right: Bob, Mark Phil, Dave,Rick, Ron, Patty, Connie, Marcia)

You are looking at the Infamous Mollica 9, raised mostly in Reading, Massachusetts during the 1950s and 1960s. You can check out the genealogy of this motley crew (as much as we have, anyway), or learn the history of the Mollica name, but for now let's introduce everyone (starting in the back row left to right, then moving to the front row left to right).

Brothers and Sisters

You can send e-mail by clicking on the underlined names.

Bob - "most mature" member of the bunch; he has a Master's Degree in Social Work, and a Doctorate in Counseling; he works for a non-profit outfit dealing with health policy issues (the company is non-profit because they pay Bob so much); and he's a serious oenophile by avocation. Please don't say anything bad about Democrats or anything good about Republicans around Bob.

Mark - (right) "Hi, I'm Mark...sixth from the top, fourth from the bottom," is Mark's standard line when introducing himself in a family context. Mark is founder, president, and still the Chief Washer and Waxer of the Black Tie Limousine company in Haverhill, Massachusetts. And no...he does not fawn over his two little daughters. Ever.

Phil - (below) the youngest boy in the family (child number 8 of 9), Phil is a teacher and coach of All State sports teams at a high school in New Hampshire. Phil has two sports-minded boys, a hilarious sense of humor, and Christmas trees from the last three years in his backyard.

Dave - child number 5 of 9, Dave lives in New Hampshire, about a mile from Bob. Dave's nickname is Pudge. He is an avid golfer, insightful baseball commentator, and renowned raconteur of lies and exaggerations from our childhood days. As a devoted Mortgage Broker, Dave is always interest-ing. That's Dave (right, on the right) with Del (Connie's husband to the left of Dave)

Rick - After doing 24 years in the most powerful navy on Planet Earth, child number 4 settled in Maryland. Rick worked for a couple of Information Technology companies after the Navy, and retired from it all in September 2000 to keep an eye on the laundromat he bought in February 2000. Rick and the Maryland Mollicas are here.

Ron - aka "The Amazing Mister Ronzo," Ron is child number 3. He lives in Massachusetts and is a restaurant manager. He is the Archie Bunker of the Mollica family. Growing up, Ron was always the slowest runner, the toughest fighter (maybe because he was the slowest runner), and the nicest guy. The Amazing One doesn't run or fight now, but he's still a helluva guy!
(Ron and Connie in the picture at right.)

Connie - "eclectic" best describes child number 7. Connie has a Masters Degree in Counseling and works as a counselor in a New Hampshire school system. Connie is the perky one, the one who always finds a positive spin for things, the one who drives us all nuts with her damn cheeriness.

Patty - the baby of the family - Rick's birthday present in 1957. Patty lives in New Hampshire. She works in an elementary school system "up there", but her real job is making sure everyone in the family knows what everyone else in the family is doing. Most folks call this gossiping. Patty calls it networking.

(The picture at left is Patty and her best buddy Mike.)

Marcia - You could think of Marcia as introverted, shy, tactful, diplomatic, and discrete - but you'd be wrong. Everyone in New Hampshire knows Child Number 2. Dad spoiled his first daughter and now the rest of us are paying for it. She's the wacky one, the practical joker, the owner of a new ski outfit every year.
