Principal Statements

Mr. Michael Mazun, Principal

The programs at Nathaniel Hawthorne Middle School are creative, innovative, and exciting for staff, students, and parents. We are a barrier-free site, and all of our students participate in our activities. Our conflict resolution and peer mediation programs involve the entire school and are very successful. Our grade 6 programs of core, study skills and conflict resolution prepare our students for the rest of their educational career. We are organized in subschools ( houses ) of 5 classes with 5 teachers. We are a federal magnet "School of Global Communication and Information Systems". Our Technology Department  utilized "State of the Art" computers to train our students in the use of sophisticated, real-world based equipment.
