WILLIAM A. BLACK LAID TO REST AT MADERA 


Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon for William A. Black, 50, from Madera Funeral home. Rev. Charles Hill conducted the final rites. Interment was in Arbor Vitae cemetery.
     Mr Black died Tuesday night of last week at a Madera hospital. The deceased had lived in the Dairyland district the past eight years, was a native of Arkansas and had lived in California for 17 years.
     He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Myrtle M. Black. the following daughters; Mrs. Edna McCall and Mrs. Lenora Tatum of Chowchilla and Mrs. Elsie Hunga of Imperial; the following sons; Leland of Calexico, Earl of the U. S. Marines and Alvin and John Black of Chowchilla; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Black of Chowchilla; three brothers Charles of Arkansas, George of Calexico and Steve of Chowchilla; six sisters, Mrs. Berdie Dixon, * Mrs Bartrude Bollinger* Mrs. Pearl Jones and Mrs. Mrs. Nettie Lindsey all of Chowchilla, Mrs. Dollie Gaddis of Imperial and Mrs. Irene Turney of El Centro and 13 grandchildren.
