I have added this page to my website in order to preserve my memories of the first Bulls' game I've seen in the United Center... and an NBA playoff game at that! I was a guest of Steve Leskovisek (MJ Struckel, Bloomington IL), tagging along with Steve, his wife "Cappy" and Steve's 13-yr old son Brett.

Our seats for the game were fantastic! They were in the second row of "off court" seats directly behind the basket on the visitor's side. Dennis Rodman's personal seats were directly in front of us. During the 2-hour drive up from Bloomington we wondered if we'd see any "celebrities".

Everyone attending the game received a red Bulls' cap with horns, courtesy of Subway. I've donated mine to a little Bulls' fan that daughter Kristin babysits for in Ames IA. Kristin is certain that I'll be his best friend forever!

John Schneider as Bo Duke Dukes of Hazzard Brett Leskovisek

Early in the game, during one of the timeouts, I was watching the large monitor above the scoreboard. The theme music from the "Dukes of Hazzard" television show was playing and a picture of actor John Schneider (aka "Bo" Duke) was on the monitor. The title on the screen "Celebrity Look-Alikes".

After about 10 seconds of the actor's photo they showed a photo of a "look-alike" member of the audience. It took me about 2 seconds to realize that Brett was on the big screen! I elbowed his dad and pointed to the scoreboard... we all got a chuckle out of it.

Michael Jordan Jammin'
Cappy brought her camera along and took a complete roll of film. If I had realized how close we were going to be I would've take mine too. Her photos included Jordan, Rodman, Pippen, the Luvabulls (Bulls' cheerleaders) and more. There was a short girl sitting directly in front of me (more about that later), so I was able to shoot the above photo without standing up. Look at the intensity in Michael Jordan's facial expression!

Carmen Electra
Alright, back to the short girl that was sitting directly in front of me. We got to the United Center as soon as the doors opened at 3p. The game didn't start until 4:30p so we had plenty of time to grab a sandwich and get to our seats. I asked the usher if we should expect to see any "celebrities" sitting around us. He replied "Carmen Electra comes to many of the games and sits right in front of you." I'd never heard of her... he said that she was on "Baywatch" (now that I've seen once or twice... but I call it "Babe watch".

Carmen Electra
Shortly before gametime in comes an attractive girl dressed-to-kill in a black leather outfit, wearing a goofy-looking fuzzy red beret with matching purse... and an entourage of 4-5 guys. That was Carmen. I found out later (via an Internet search) that she's Rodman's fiance and that she lived with Prince (aka "the artist formerly known as Prince") for two years. She has also replaced Jenny McCarthy as the host of MTV's "Singled Out". No wonder Brett knew all about her!

During one intermission Steve handed her a paper and pen, asking her to autograph it for his son Brett. Instead writing "To Brett" she writes "To Brent"! Brett was able to doctor it when he got home. We all thought it was pretty funny at the time.
