Notes for William THORNE

It appears that this William Thorn, with wife, Mary Taylor, resided on
Mary's father's land, located on the North side of Beach Run. This land
was left to Mary in her father, William Taylor's Will in 1783.
The other William Thorne residing at the same time in Edgecomb County
appears to have been from Hertford CO., NC and purchased 372 acres near
Autry's Creek in 1786 from the Stokes family heirs (DB4-417). This
William Thorn and wife, Leah, sold the same 372 acres in 1788 to Samuel
Taylor (DB5-426). William and Leah appear to have moved to Wake Co., NC.
