Refrigerator Pickles
8 Cups Sliced Cucumbers
1 Cup Sliced Green Pepper
1 Cup Sliced Onions
1 Tablespoon Celery Seed
2 Tablespoons Salt
2 Cups Sugar
1 Cup white Vinegar
Put cucumbers, peppers, and onions in layers in a large jar and sprinkle the celery seed on each layer. Mix salt, sugar, and vinegar together and pour over the cucumbers, peppers, and onions until the jar is full. Then refrigerate. A gallon jar holds 2 batches. Shake often for the first 24 hours and keep refrigerated.
