DANIELLE MOFFAT
SALVATION
(poetryrepairshop 99.10:113)
Help me.

I'm drowning in the cesspool of silence
The darkness envelops us all holds us close
We wait for the light

Rescue me.

Screams for knowledge
As chants surround,
'Paint the world with the warm blood of the ignorant.'

Give me freedom.

Tripped out dream world
Finds somewhere safe to hide.
You'll find it one day.

Give me life.

Crashing. Bleeding out.
Cut into by angry words and bitter thoughts
Snake venom in my heart.
