March Contest
Topic: Green

This month's topic is "Green". To enter a submission for the contest, please fill out the form below. This form will be sent via email and will display your email address.  Poems submitted for this contest will be displayed on our Contest Board.

There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner. Winners will recieve The Heartland Edition (T.H.E) Poetry Award to be proudly placed on their site.

Rules of the Contest

Rule #1 -- Your submission can be no more than 250 words in length. These word limitations apply only to the contests

Rule #2 -- Poems and pages that are submitted MUST comply with Geocities Guidelines.

Rule #3 -- Poems must be sent no later then the 20th day of the contest month by Midnight CST.

Rule #4 -- Any piece you enter in the contest must have been created by and fully owned by you. Collaborative efforts (such as husband and wife teams, for instance) are permitted. If a piece you are entering has been previously published, you must not have given up or sold your rights to this piece. Posting works owned by others without first obtaining their written consent violates U.S. copyright law. Posting works written by others without their written consent is also a violation of copyright law, but even if you have such consent you cannot post such pieces in our contests.

Rule #5 -- By posting in our contest, you consent to grant us a non-exclusive right to edit, modify and reprint your posts without the need for us to contact you for additional permission. You still retain full rights to your work(s) under U.S. copyright law, and everything you post remains your own copyrighted property. In a nutshell, this rule means you can do whatever you want with any pieces you write and post here without contacting us, while we conversely have the right to reprint any of your posts from our area without contacting you. (Without this rule, we couldn't even highlight your posts in a separate collection in our area if you win the weekly contest!)

With that all said and done, Happy Posting!!
