The Museum of New Zealand - Te Papa Tongarewa was
officially opened in February 1998. A wonderful place to visit for adults
and children alike, Te Papa has special facilities available for children
and caters for school visits. |

in the former central Library, Wellington's City Gallery
has
been completely refurbished in the last couple of years and has a reputation
for showing high quality international exhibitions. There are several exhibition
rooms and facilities include audio visual rooms and a cafe. Centrally located
in Civic Square the City Gallery is a must see when experiencing
Wellington's cultural life. |

a stunning Ian Athfield designed building located on Civic Square. A modern
library facility with online catalogue accessible via the Internet, &
Internet access for library users. Includes designated spaces for
children and a cafe. Parking underground. Worth a visit after the City
Gallery. |
