               LOVE ME

You live in me and in my mind
Our shadows walk entwined
I don't get lost in the dark labyrinth
Because I am by your side.
If the intense light blurs my sight,
I close my eyes, keeping the image of you in them.
Is it the breeze that soothes my hair
That caresses my hurting face
Involving my body in a humanly calmness
And grows and vibrates, soaking my dry lips?
No. It is your presence within my blood
Pierced in my being.
The singing I hear in the gloomy nights
Love whispers that come from the stars,
Slumbering, dreaming soul,
Feeling, living, lifeless?
Subtle substance that nestles in my chest
Stereotyped image of my stanzas
To which I surrender and subdue.
I love you in the trembling flesh of flowers
In the warm smile of nature
In the secret harmony of things
We were made of the same clay. LOVE ME!
