Mrs. JAMES C. ODOM Sr.
Former Teacher

HAHIRA, Ga.-- Helen Marnelle Parker Odom died 26 Aug. at her home here, aged 77. She was the widow of James Childs Odom Sr.

Helen was born 2 Jan., 1922 in Hahira, the daughter of John Leonard Parker and Lessie Martin. She lived all her life in Hahira. Helen was a graduate of Hahira High School and Georgia State Woman's College (now Georgia College and University.

She taught English at Hahira High School for some time and later worked at the Post Office. Helen was also active in farm management during her entire adult life.

Helen and James were married in 1941. He died in 1994.

She was a lifelong member of the Hahira Methodist Church where she held many positions of trust over the years.

Burial was in Friendship Cemetery.

Survivors include daughter, Elizabeth Ann ("Libby") Odom, Hahira; sons Dr. James Childs Odom Jr., MD, Valdosta and John Gregory Odom, Hahira; a grandchild, Lauren Odom, Valdosta.

Mrs. JAMES B. ODOM

MORGANFIELD, Ky. -- Hallie Odom, 71, died Sunday, 12 Sep. 1999, at her home. She was the widow of James. B. Odom.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994 and a son Ronnie.

Burial was the Odd Fellow Cemetery.

Surviving are daughters, Vicki Odom Gray, Sandy Odom and Debbie Odom Buckman all of Morganfield; sons, Rev. Kenneth Odom of Marion and Mike and Dennis Odom, both of Morganfield; 9 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

JACK H. ODOM
Tool Design Engineer

SAN ANTONIO, Tx.--Jack H. Odom died here 24 Jun 2000 at age 83.

Jack was born 19 Oct 1916. He

He retired from Friedrich Air Conditioning Company as a tool design engineer on 8 Jan 1982. Jack was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Entombment was in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.

He is survived by Mary A. Odom, his wife of 57 years; five children, Tamara J. Lechner and husband Charles N. of Plano, TX, Terry R. Odom and wife Lynn M., Jerry J. Odom, K. John Odom and wife Linda and Jacqueline M. Odom; 9 grand -children, Maria D. Dubis and husband Greg of Plano, Tx, Stephen A. Lechner of Plano, TX, Charles T. Lechner and wife Chrisy, Julie A. Buchanan and husband James, Tamara Lynn Odom, Scott A. Odom, Monty J. McGuffin, Kerrie M. Hudson and husband, Chris and Garrett Odom; three great-grandchildren, Rachel K. Dubis, Thomas G. Dubis and Bryce A. Lechner and by numerous nieces and nephews.
