Richardson Family News On the Internet

If you are a Richardson or descendant of a Richardson, this is YOUR family newsletter. It is the official publication of the Richardson Family Club (South) and is dedicated to bringing you current news about your kinfolk. We are still working on it so please bear with us as we continue to add more news and features in the coming weeks.

The newsletter will contain current news, obituaries, weddings, engagements, births, anniversaries, feature articles, family history and more about Richardsons and their descendants. For this to succeed, we NEED YOUR HELP: when you hear about a death, marriage, engagement, birth or other news about a Richardson relative, please let us know so we can add it to the newsletter. If you see an obituary, wedding, anniversary or engagement notice, birth or other news about a Richardson relative in your local newspaper, please clip it out, along with the name and date of the paper from the top of the page, and send it to us to preserve in the Family Library and to print in the family newsletters.

APOLOGIES

If you don't get an answer to your emails or regular mail right away, please be patient. Our Editor had to give up his own apartment and move in with his folks after his latest heart attack until he could get his strength back. The doctors said he could not return to work for several weeks and to "take it easy" at home. In the meantime, all his family records were put into storage at the country office of a friend. That meant he could not work on any family history during all this time -- as he had done during his first two recoveries. That's enough to drive a real historian crazy!

a missing ancestor. You may locate others who can help you with info and records

REUNIONS

If your branch of the family is planning a reunion, let us know so we can write a story about it in the family newsletter. Send us complete details: include the dates, time, place and the name, mailing address, telephone number and email address if available of a person to contact for more information. Tell us about your plans, program of activities, family history; and if it is an annual event, give some history of the reunion--when and where it began, who started it, etc.

AFTER the reunion, send details about it: how many attended; what states or cities were represented, who traveled the greatest distance, names of the oldest and youngest who attended; something about the activities held. If you have a reunion committee, tell the names and hometowns of your officers.

SCHOOL NEWS . . .

If you have a child who is graduating from high school or college; who has been named to the school academic honors roll; been elected to a school office; is on a sports team; elected cheerleader; or other school news, please let us know so we can put an article about it in the newsletters. Send some background on their school history; names of grandparents; and their plans for the future (college, work, etc.).
