WEB PAGE MAKING
Elaine Craddick-Patt
Beginning Web Page Making
This workshop is for those who have been browsing the Internet system and feel ready to build their own home or business page. The workshop is primarily hands-on using the online Virtual Classroom. The day long course will teach the basics of web page building. Included will be accessing the free guides and tutorials online. Some basic concept and design elements will be addressed: the Do's and Don'ts of good web pages. There will be some discussion of the many Web Page Editor programs available and hands on use of two online editors. The structural use of basic HTML will be the basis of building the page. Also included will be how to select a provider/server for your page, how to upload your data and graphics and how to maintain your page once it is on the WWW. If you haven't been using your navigation software and exploring the Internet prior to the class, it is strongly suggested that you take a beginning class in Navigating the Web as it will make the Web Page building much more understandable.
