Building an HTML Page

Make a Folder Called "yourname"
Choose a text Editor
- Click: Start/Programs/Accessories/Notepad
Start a Page
- Click: File/Save As
- Choose to Save In the "yourname" Folder
- Name the Document the name index.html
Create Your First HTML Document Using the HTML Tags:
- Tell The Browser what type of document it is
- Create the Header
  - Document Title
  - Base href
- Create the Body
  - Body Tag Should Include:
    - Background color
    - Background image or texture
    - Text Colors
    - Three link colors: link, vlink, alink
  - Base font
  - Body Title
    - Choose a size between H1-H6
    - Choose a font color
  - Document Experimentation:
    - Center
    - Font Size between 1-7
    - Font Color
    - Blink
    - Bold
    - Italics
    - Comments
    - Blockquotes
    - Hypertext Links
    - Images
    - Mail to Links
- Save Your Document (remember the broken arm adage)
- View Your First Basic HTML Document In Netscape
  - Click: File/Open Page
  - Find and open the "yourname" Folder
  - Highlight and Open the name index.html document
Choose an Online Editor
