Rick,

I promise you the strength of my body and the strength of my will. When you must bear the burden of sickness or sorrow, I will be there to hold you up and to spur you on.

I promise you fidelity - No person will come before you in my love, in my life, in my regard, as long as we are together.

I promise you my respect. Your talents and abilities I hold in the highest regard and I will not fail to continue to recognize and appreciate them.

I promise you my faith. When there are goals to be obtained, tasks to be accomplished, obstacles to over come, I will be behind you and beside you. I will support you and assist you so that together we may meet every challenge.

I promise you my trust. I will always know that the vows I gave to you one year ago and those I give today, you also give to me, and that you will uphold them as I will, with every particle of my being, body, heart, and soul.

I promise you my love. You are my partner, my lover, the father of my child, and my very best friend. You make me complete.

I give you this ring as a symbol of these vows and as a symbol of our binding. Let nothing break these bonds. With this ring I tie my life to yours. "I am thee and thou art me and all of one is the other."
