Jeremy Brett (1933-1995) was a versatile British actor
with a distinguished 40-year career legacy in such
diverse rôles as Bassanio, Dorian Gray, Dracula,
Freddie Eynsford-Hill, Hamlet, Maxim de Winter,
William Tatham, and Robert Browning.

Yet it was his talented and enriching portraiture
as the consulting detective, Sherlock Holmes, in
which internationally famed him. Undoubtedly
his portrayal remains "quintessential." This is a
man who had touched -- unfathomably touched -- the
hearts of millions of lives, including that of the editor.

This site is not intended to be a "dedication" to Mr
Sherlock Holmes, but more exclusively a "dedication," in love
and veneration, to the life of Mr Jeremy Brett né Huggins --
his works, his career, his influence, and his self.
