Wealdstone F.C. ~ Before Lower Mead

The first fixture of the reorganised Club, a friendly, was played on October 7th 1899 when Wealdstone inflicted a 6-1 defeat over Northwood on their opponent's ground. The Club competed in Division 2 of the Willesden & District League in the 1899/1900 season and the following season played in Division 1 there being no second division then.

Success came the way of Wealdstone in the1905/06 season when the Club became champions of the first division of the Willesden & District League. But this success was short-lived, and a report, headed 'Defunct', in the local paper for October 20th 1906 stated: - "it is with regret that we have to record the demise of what used to be the well-known Wealdstone FC. Since the commencement of the present season, the dilatoriness of the players in arriving on the field of play at the start of the game and the thin line of spectators who dotted the line of demarcation along one side of the ground all betokened a sad falling-off of interest.

It was not until the 1908/09 season that Wealdstone Football Club came into being again. This season opens a new era in the fortunes of Wealdstone F: C." stated the local paper of September 4th, 1908. The 1912-13 season proved to be easily the most successful period since the Club was formed.

In that season Wealdstone won the Middlesex Junior Cup, the London League (Division 2) and the Willesden & District League (Division 1).  The club entered the FA Cup for the first time in 1913 losing 1-3 to Page Green Old Boys.

The Club closed down for the duration of the First World War (1914-18), in which many members served, a number losing their lives.

When football got underway once again in the 1919/20 season Wealdstone joined the London League and the Middlesex Senior League. the latter the Stones' won in 1920/21 and 1921/22
