Summer Time Do It Your Selfers Project Page

I have mentioned that I would be updating class homepages. Well that's not a very prctical thing for me to do. Why? Because I din't graduate with your class and have no idea what your class philosophy was. I don't have photos of your lives, memories, weddings, deaths, births, divorces, graduations, children, grandchildren, hobbies, pets, jobs, passions, thoughts, you want me to keep going? I thought so. Ye get the idea.

But not to furrow your brow, now is the chance for you to demonstrate your skills and show your classmates you can create a class page. Not to worry, I have zipped up each classes' homepage with images of any of the below:

  • Class of 19_ _ Page Title
  • Background images (Some don't have their backgrounds, click here to move to the background page. Just copy down to your hard drive.)
  • Movie Poster
  • Album
  • Popular Book
  • Links to:
  • IMDB.com
  • Amazon.com
  • Some boxes you can fill

Do I have to use the images and files you included in my class page package?

No, use whatever images you want. Hey, how about scanning some of those photos of the family and putting them on the page(s), or photos of classmates, or use your imagination (as long as it's not xxxx-rated.)

See that title to the left?

It was made in Wordart in Word (of course). Lots of free paint programs. Save in .jpg or .gif format.

What your at a loss as to what to use?

Let's see there's Netscape Composer - that's with all Netscape browsers. There is Microsoft's Frontpage, notepad, and Office 2000 programs have the capabilities of doing the same.

I don't want to bother you with questions, know of any sites I can visit to learn about HTMLing?

Sure, visit the Netscape or Microsoft site or www.webmonkey.com,or do a search.

So where are these files?

They are all zipped up and waiting for you to download at the bottom of this page onto your hard drive.
Do me a favor and keep the naming convention of images and htm page(s) the same, i.e. 63name_of_image.jpg (or .gif) or class77.htm or class85_1.htm (for additional pages). Silly, but it keeps your files in the subdirectory grouped and easier to find.

What's Zipped up?

Winzip is used to zip up the files you may want to use. If you don't have Winzip, you can obtain it at their web site at www.winzip.com. It's pretty easy to learn how to use, really.

I'm done -- now what? How do I get them to you?

All done? That's great! Send me an email attaching the page as a file. If you changed images zip 'em up and attach the zipped file to the email.

Click on ur right mouse button and "Save As" to ur hard drive.
