First Series Episode Summaries - 17/18 (Disc 9)
Episode 17
Yugi and the dancer (who was "hired" by Kaiba to defeat Yugi in a game). The dancer plays a game with Yami Yugi in which there are game pieces/figures related to Indian culture. The game is much like the card game of "War", only with figures instead of cards. Tea would either be frozen forever or be eaten by a tiger if Yami Yugi doesn't win the game.
Episode 18
A boy (a classmate of Yugi, Joey, Tristan, Miho, and Tea) had a dream that a Chinese emperor's procession is attacked and a special jar he is holding drops to the ground. The jar falls open and a dragon spirit comes out of it. The boy wakes up from the dream.
During the day outdoors, two bullies confront the boy. Yugi, Joey, Tristan, and Tea see the confrontation. One of the bullies try to throw a coin into a flower pot and misses. Yugi (regular, not Yami) walks up to them and wants to try. He rebounds a coin into a bunch of things and it goes into the pot. The bullies leave and the boy tells Yugi that he was really good at it.
Yugi finds a note in his locker at school from the boy. He shows Yugi a hidden basement area in a building (a temple?) which has a sliding game/door. The game/door is a stone slab which is cut into squares - have to move the squares around to unscramble the carving on it and open the door. Yugi's millenium puzzle glows and he starts to solve the game. He finishes it and the slab opens to reveal a jar just like the one in the boy's dream. They take the jar back to Yugi's grandpa's game shop to see if he knows anything about it. Yugi's grandpa tells them about the legend of the jar and Yugi's millenium puzzle glows again.
The boy is taking the jar back to the building (either that or home) and he is confronted by the two bullies again. The boy drops the jar and it falls open to reveal a bunch of game pieces (the dragon block game) and an invisible dragon spirit is released, probably a water dragon spirit. The game pieces and jar glow. The ocean became rough at the same time the jar fell open.
The next day at school, Miho tells Joey, Tea, and Tristan about the strange things that happened the night before - an ambulence came by to pick up the unconscious bullies laying on the ground and the ocean became rough. The boy is sitting in front with his back to them listening to Miho and is acting strange (mean).
After gym swim class, Yugi returns to his locker to find his millienium puzzle is missing and a note from the boy. The boy, wearing Yugi's mill. puzzle, meets him in the hidden basement area and opens the jar in front of him. He challenges him to the dragon block game. The game consists of blocks that summon dragons of the elements (fire, water, wood, metal, etc.) and a map. The boy and Yugi summon dragons of opposite elements (water and fire) and they battle. The boy's dragon defeats Yugi's and the boy's dragon tears into Yugi taking a ball of his spirit. Yugi passed out but retained enough sense to reach out to the mill. puzzle, touching it, before he passed out. Yami Yugi comes out, rips the mill. puzzle off of the neck of the boy, and continues the game. Yami Yugi wins and Yugi's spirit is returned. The boy returns to normal and is surprised to find himself playing the dragon block game. They close the jar back up and leave it in the basement area.
