were brought to Ireland,
there were felines known as
"wild-cats" native to Ireland.
The ancient Celtic-Catti-Tribe
(cat-people) of Ireland,
practiced a shamanic faith
primarily centered around them
& even wore costumes &
adorned themselves
to look like Cats.

(Note: Some people wonder if the cats
made it over to "Ireland" in time
before the waters surrounded the Island either.
But "European Forest Cats"(type of wild cats)
did live in Ireland
long before domestic cats
were eventually brought there.)
In fact Cats were honoured
by the Ancient Catti-Tribe of Ireland!
