Introduction {1,330 words}
In 1961, I was selected for a special educational program by the Public School System of Hampton, Virginia. At the time, the program was still new and experimental, so I was part of the "guinea pig" class! I was allowed to study advanced courses in Mathematics, Science, Foreign Languages, and English. Since then, numerous other young people have gone through this or a similar program, so in that respect, I was not unique.
However, that whole episode was still indirectly responsible for causing me to have many problems. Shortly into it, I became very discouraged, and that discouragement led to my being openly rebellious. By 1966, when I graduated from Hampton High School, I had gone from being in the top few of my class as an Eighth Grader to being in the lower one-third as a Twelfth Grader. During those five years, I had not been very happy, and it had showed! In 1966, I left home for college, but a year later, I was sent back home, after having flunked out with an F-minus average!
Even though this book is not about my early life, those difficult years have been a big part of my overall learning process. In looking back, I realize that every influencing agent within my life and society had, at that time, been steering me away from the Lord. Of course, I did not recognize these things while they were actually happening! I also did not know that those same forces were steering many others, too, and that those forces would still be around today to have their evil impact on our current generation. But they were and they are!
In my case, I eventually learned the truth. I found my way to the Lord, and He got me through all of my very difficult and very challenging troubles. He put my life back on solid ground and even made it possible for me to return to school, where in the years since, I have been able to resume my education. In 1972, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. In 1975, I received a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. In 1993, I received a Masters degree in Business Administration from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and I am presently working on a Master of Arts degree in Religion and Counseling at Liberty University.
However, this book is also not about me flunking out of college or being allowed to go back. It and the analyses which follow are about the intentional lies that are being taught to our children, plus it is about the truth which is being deliberately withheld. The Theory of Evolution is an unproven theory of science. The Big Bang theory is also an unproven theory of science. Yet, both are being crammed into our children's heads as though they were the truth, and as this book will point out, that brainwashing has not been and is not being limited to just the public school classroom! These lies of science have seeped into every part of our existence, and they have literally been and are being permeated through and at every level of our life.
Most of us, who now have school-aged children, were probably once taught these same lies, too. This means that just about all of us, to some degree or another, have been affected. By uncovering and exposing them and by showing how our entire society has been and is being affected, people can know the truth and begin to repair their own individual damage. Most people would quickly confess that we have become a godless nation. But that transition over these past forty or fifty or more years has not been either by accident or by chance! It has been a planned, plotted, and calculated maneuver even from the start, and now, we and our families are suffering because of it!
This book has been written for four specific purposes. The first is to expose these two popular scientific theories, the Theory of Evolution and the Big Bang theory, and to show how these unproven theories are literally being crammed down our throats and the throats of our children. The second purpose is to discuss the many evidences which exist to support the Christian Faith, namely those which show that God is real, that Jesus is Lord, and that the Bible is the Word of God. Not so coincidentally, as though some kind of magical plot were being worked against us, young people are forced to learn the unsubstantiated while being deprived of this latter, much more reliable spiritual information. The third purpose of this text will be to describe the system-level plot against us and then to put together all of the available information so that we can discover, or rediscover, the truth about our creation. Then, the fourth and final objective will be to show how, through Jesus Christ, a person can have a right relationship with the God Who created them, plus live a life that will be pleasing to Him.
In all, I have spent most of my free time over these past six and a half years either directly researching or actually writing this book. In grateful appreciation of all the help and encouragement that I have received, I would like to specifically thank Tom Blackwell, Marilyn Johnson, Robert Landrum, Norm Reece, Jim Martino, Chris Harrington, John McCunniff, Gary Goodman, Marshall and Bobbie Taylor, Bruce Young, Betty Harmon, Rob Huffman, Sheri Lutman, Eric Kujala, George Moore, John Shields, Julie Settle, Sharon Stewart, Ken VanScoy, Jim Stone, Dan Cook, Joanna Beger, and Bill McAllister. I would like to thank those who have helped me edit this work, these people being my wife, Linda, our daughters Debbie, Pam, Melody, and Crystal, plus two very special friends, Sheri Lutman and Rob Huffman. Lastly, I would like to thank and express my genuine appreciation to five individuals who have counseled me concerning my writing techniques. These people are Phil Zaccagni (now deceased), Warren Walters, Gary Goodman, Barbara West, and Sue Bevan.
In addition to the above acknowledgments, a very special thank you is in order for six of the above-named individuals. Gary Goodman, who holds a Doctorate's degree in Astronomy, was very instrumental in teaching me about the Big Bang theory. He was always patient with my inability to grasp some very complicated topics, he helped me to understand the significance of supercluster galaxies and dark matter, and he was always there to give me extra time when I needed it. Tom Blackwell, Marilyn Johnson, John McCunniff, and Rob Huffman were my faithful listeners. They listened to my theories and always gave me solid, constructive criticism. Last but not least is Marshall Taylor. He and I have discussed the material presented in Part IV on numerous occasions. As a result of his spiritual insight, he made my job much easier.
A final thank you must be extended to my Saviour and Lord, Jesus. I am grateful for the new life which I received in Him in December 1967, I am grateful that He has given me the knowledge and ability to even attempt this work, I am grateful for the countless answered prayers, and I am pleased for the peace which I have felt as I have labored on this book. In a few moments, my part in all of this will be done, and I will then turn this whole project over to Him. From that moment on, how far this book goes and before whose eyes it comes will be a matter of His business, not mine. Through it all, may Jesus Christ be the One who gets all the honor and glory for what He has done and continues to do in the hearts and lives of those who trust Him.
