This run down to Tucson started off as being just to get some additional seat time in. When I got there though they handed out trophies after the drivers meeting for the last season. That's when it dawned on me, "Hey I bet I can get a trophy down here too!". So in other words I will be going to Tucson on a regular basis. As long as I can make the November and December events I should be able to pull a trophy in CSP Open there as well. If I take 1st place in Phoenix and a 1st place in Tucson I guess I could call myself the state CSP Open champion!
I got there plenty early arriving at 7am. The registration table/tent wasn't even setup yet and they had just started setting up the course. This gave me plenty of time to change wheels and race prep my car before registering and tech. By the time I had all that done I got to walk the course about 5 or 6 times.
