Living Word Outreach volunteers are actively involved in
both Bible studies and evangelism at the Lake County Jail in
Waukegan, Illinois.

Jail Evangelism takes place once a month or so every September through May,
and a six-week Bible study program takes place twice a year.

At the evangelism services, we sing, preach and pray.  We have
found that many of the inmates are sincerely seeking to turn 
their lives around.  We have seen them weep in sincere repentance.
We have seen some of them after their release, a new person.

We have often said that we would rather worship with the inmates
at the Lake County Jail than in the best church in town!

The six-week Bible study is currently focusing on Christian Character.
At these Bible studies, many issues arise, many questions are answered,
and the truth of the Bible is being well received!
