Inner Struggle...

Confusion reigns
here inside while
I lie alone
and try to hide.

Then there's you
so soft and close
just across the flames
where I want to be
the most.

I toss and turn
wrapped in the chains
of my desire,
knowing what I want,
and yet that there's
nothing I can do right now
to release this fire.

But someday Gabrielle,
I will be free again
just you wait and see,
and then I will flip
over even hot coals
to give you that
part of me.
