Ares in Love

Scene 1: Ares' Temple
ARES: Lysa, aren't you forgetting something?
Lysa kissed Ares' cheek and replied...
LYSA: Goodnight Lord Ares.
Lysa is one of Ares' servants. He has grown fond of her because she is a very good warrior...almost as good as Xena. And get this...Ares is in love with her.
Scene 2: Morning
ARES: Lysa! Where are you? Lysa enters the room.
LYSA: Yes?
ARES: I have a proposal for you.
LYSA: What is it?
ARES: (sitting at his chair) I want you to think about this. (Pauses) I'm offering you a day of leaving these premises to test your skills. And if I like what I see I can give you more.
LYSA: What will you give me?
ARES: Oh, now that’s a secret. Now go.
Lysa set off by herself. She found herself on a path near the woods.
MAN: Hey baby. Give me all your dinars.
Lysa turned to see two men standing with knives.
LYSA: I suggest you leave me alone.
2nd MAN: What are ya gonna do? Kill us?
The men began to close in on her. Lysa jumped and kicked both men in midair. She then kicked the knives out of their hands.
1st MAN: Oh now you're gonna get it!
LYSA: Come and get me!
The 1st man ran to her, but Lysa punched him so hard he fell to the ground and didn’t get up. The 2nd man charged her. Lysa kicked him in the stomach and got out her knife.
LYSA: See this? (She held up her knife) This is Ares' symbol. And now you're going to die. YAHH!!!
Lysa stabbed him then walked over to the other guy.
LYSA: Goodbye. Tell Hades Ares says "Hello". AHHHH!
She slashed his throat and then walked away.
SCENE 3: Meeting A Friend
Iolaus was walking on the same path Lysa was on. He decided he needed a day off. Lysa bumps into him.
LYSA: Hey! Watch where you're going!
Iolaus starred at her and saw the most beautiful woman. Her soft golden brown hair and deep ocean blue eyes.
IOLAUS: Oh, I'm sorry Miss.
LYSA: It’s okay just watch it next time.
IOLAUS: Excuse me, what’s your name?
LYSA: Why? Who are you?
IOLAUS: Oh, I'm Iolaus. I travel with Hercules, but I'm taking a day off.
LYSA: Hercules? The Hercules?
IOLAUS: Well yes.
LYSA: He brings pain to Ares.
IOLAUS: No he doesn't he...
LYSA: Yahhh! (She back slapped him so hard he fell to the ground. She lowered to him and pulled out her knife)
LYSA: See this? This Ares' symbol on my knife. I can kill you but you didn't threaten me. The name is Lysa and tell Hercules to stay away from us.
Lysa flipped away from him and ran off the other way.
SCENE 4: Ares stops Lysa on her way back to the temple.
ARES: You’ve done well Lysa.
LYSA: Anything to please you Ares. (Hesitates to kiss him) but..
ARES: But what?
LYSA: I do not wish to kill Hercules or Iolaus. I only Iolaus because I reacted to quickly.
ARES: Oh Lysa! I didn't want you to them! But... they will threaten you.
LYSA: I don't think so. Ares I'm not going to kill them.
Lysa walks off to the temple. Ares wants to make her a god, but not if she keeps refusing him.
SCENE 5: Ares' Temple
ARES: Lysa!
Lysa enters the room.
LYSA: What? I'm a very busy woman.
Ares goes to her and puts his arms around her waist. Then kisses her ever so gently.
ARES: Lysa, I love you.
He slowly leaves her to be alone.
LYSA: Wait! (But Ares left too soon.)
LYSA: I love you too.
Lysa angrily went to her room.
SCENE 6: The next afternoon Lysa trains on her own. She
could do numerous things: flips, sword fighting, killing with her
bear hands and she could even catch a chakram if she had one.
Lysa decided to wonder off to the near by village.
Lysa entered the village and spotted Hercules and Iolaus right away. She also saw that they were being stalked by two men obviously waiting to rob them. Lysa was reaching for her knife when she heard something coming her way. Lysa quickly reacted and caught a chakram. She then grabbed hold of it and threw it to the men. The men ran away with bloody noses. Xena runs over to Lysa.
XENA: Who are you and how did you catch my chakram?
LYSA: Why? Who wants to know?
XENA: Well I'm Xena, and you are?
LYSA: Lysa.
Hercules and Iolaus run over to Xena and Lysa.
HERCULES: What's going on?
IOLAUS: Herc! That’s the girl who tried to kill me!
LYSA: I just saved your life. I've just come to say...
VILLAGER: Look! She has the Ares' sign on her belt! She's come to kill us! Get her!
LYSA: No! Don't!
3 men ganged up on her.
LYSA: I'm not here to hurt you!
One man grabbed her arm. Hercules and Xena were about to help her when they heard her warcry.
LYSA: AHHHHHHYAAAAAAAA!!
Lysa threw him on the ground. She kicked the other two men in the stomach and ran off towards Ares' temple.
XENA: Wait! (Runs after her.)
HERCULES: Xena! (Runs after her.)
IOLAUS: I guess I'll follow too.
Hercules, Xena, and Iolaus found themselves alone on a path.
XENA: Lysa! Where are you?
HERCULES: Lysa!
Lysa jumps down on Hercules and Xena from the tree above them. They both fell to the ground. Lysa stood in front of them with Xena's chakram. Iolaus looked at her.
IOLAUS: What do you want from us?
LYSA: Nothing. Just leave me alone. I was going to the village to tell you I'm not going to kill you.
Xena and Hercules stand up. Lysa threw the chakram on the ground by Xena's feet.
LYSA: Here. I'm leaving. My kind isn't wanted here.
HERCULES: Wait! Its just that you are with the wrong god. You serve at Ares' Temple?
LYSA: Yes.
HERCULES: Then that’s why.
LYSA: No! He taught me everything I know. But I'm not evil like he is. I love him, but my kind won't be accepted in villages.
XENA: Love him? That’s the first.
LYSA: Xena, Warrior Princess? I don't think you should be questioning my love for Ares. At least I wasn't evil like you! I do what I have to do, but I'm not an animal! And to think I wanted friends like you!
Lysa walked away to Ares'Temple. So they followed her.
SCENE 7: Ares' Temple
HERCULES: Ares! Show yourself.
Ares appears before them.
ARES: Oh brother. What do you want now?
HERCULES: Lysa doesn't belong here.
XENA: She can't even visit a village without being attacked.
Lysa enters.
LYSA: I do belong here! I told you why I wanted to stay. (Looks at Ares) I love you Ares.
Ares looks at her.
ARES: Figure something out with your friends. I'll be back later. (Disappears)
LYSA: I do want friends like you. But it won't work out if Ares hates you.
HERCULES: If you love him then stay, but if you don't then by all means leave!
XENA: We will be here for you if you ever need help. Don't forget us.
LYSA: I won't. It's very big of Ares to let me do this.
IOLAUS: People or gods do anything for love.
LYSA: You should get going. I'll see you around. (Shows them the door and leaves to her room.)
SCENE 8: Ares and Lysa
ARES: If you want to leave then go ahead. All I want is for you to be happy.
LYSA: I’m staying. I love you Ares. (Ares smiles at her.)
ARES: I love you too.
They kiss passionately and hold each other in their arms. Ares even gave her a beautiful silver ring with a heart on it. I guess gods do have feelings. Even The God of War.
