Penance & Sin
If a prot is already saved, and therefore cannot loose the gift of Heaven, than the only reason they haven't killed themselves is they really don't believe what they're saying. If Christ died for all sins, and not believing in Him is a sin, then I don't have to believe in Him either, and still get to Heaven. See the illogical thought that goes into Protestantism? When you deny the truth, you deny God, and then you fall into all sorts of traps, and mentally irregular thinking.
Matthew 3:1 AND in those days cometh John the Baptist preaching in the desert of Judea.
Matthew 3:2 And saying: Do penance: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Why do penance? If your sins are already forgiven, what’s the purpose of being sorry for them, and then atoning (penance) for them?)
Matthew 5:48 Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect. (God commands you to be perfect. So therefor he must have provided man with a means of acquiring perfection…….namely the Catholic Church)
Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, shall never have forgiveness, but shall be guilty of an everlasting sin. (What's this? An everlasting sin? I thought ALL sin was forgiven. Guess not)
Luke 12:10 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but to him that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven. (What is this, an unforgivable sin? I thought all sins were forgiven?)
John 5:14 Afterwards, Jesus findeth him in the temple, and saith to him: Behold thou art made whole: sin no more, lest some worse thing happen to thee. (How can Christ say this? He forgave his sins, but then tells him to sin no more because something worse might happen. This doesn’t fit into prot mentality, but it does go into the Catholic Bible believing mentality.)
John 20:23 Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained. (Why should He give people the power to hold someone to their sins or forgive them? Didn't He pay the price for all our sins? Once and for all? So, why then does someone else have to forgive my sins? This doesn't fit into prot logic.)
