What's up?
Fiesta Grande #7 -  I'm sure you'll get a blow by blow account of everything that happened at this show by others, so i'll give the you the real deal.  Friday, May 14 - BURNED UP BLED DRY, PHOBIA, CAPITALIST CASUALTIES, GERI LIVE, GODSTOMPER.   Geri Live, mostly slow/grindy, opened.  They were O.K.  This was their last show ever, so don't expect them to get better.  Godstomper was next.  Mania HC, "Power Violence".  They've been getting better, and they didn't disappoint tonight.  Capitalist played a sick ass set.  Tight as fuck and just punishing all around.  The champs of the weekend, Phobia were next.  They owned this show in my opinion.  I've seen and played with these guys, and never realized they're full power.  A well balanced sound and great drumming and riffs made them stand out.  I think Shane's voice  went south in the middle of the set, but other that they were perfect.  Burned Up Bled Dry are a solid band from Arkansas.  A HC band that plays with lots of oomph.  I suspect their live performance is better than recorded.
Saturday, May 15 - FUCK ON THE BEACH, LACK OF INTEREST, SPAZZ, GASP, KRALIZEC.  Kralizec surprised the shit out of me.  Great fucking metallic HC that sounded kinda edge.  Missed Gasp.  Spazz were great as always.  Tight loud and tasty.  Lack of Interest = very fucking cool.  I think they had the original singer.  I love these guys.  They play one of the most unique styles of hard-core, i'm glad they didn't break up.  Fuck On The Beach were really cool.  Pretty standard punk / HC, but it's hardly ever the music I love these Japanese bands for.  They put on such good shows.  They have so much god damn energy, it would be hard not to like them.
Plutocracy - Yep, they're back together, and about to go into the studio to record an album that will be coming out on the guy from Scalplock's label (sorry I don't know the name.)  There have been a few hold ups (members doing time in jail and other bands to name 2), but it will happen, and as soon as it does, the boys will be playing live again.  They might even go on tour with What Happens Next this
summer (possibly, not for sure).
deadbodieseverywhere - DBE finally put out the album that Tom from train wreck sabotaged almost two years ago.  It's out on Satan's Pimp /  625.  It's got some really good feedback, and is sold out already.  It was limited to 1000 copies, so they're repressing it soon.

GOBWell, it happened again.  Gob broke up for like the gazillionth time.  As you may know, Jon (guitar) and Leah (bass) broke up, and so went the band.  After realizing that Gob, after about 8 years, is doing exactly what they want to be doing, Brandon (drums) and Jon decided to try and carry on without Leah, but are not having much luck finding a bassist.  Gob's LP, and best work to date, should be coming out on Satan's Pimp sometime summer '99.  Hopefully, the tour will be close behind.
Agents of Satan - After an extremely long hiatus, AOS are getting back together to jam again.  Franko (bass), and Kindred (guitar) have been jamming with Plutocracy since their reformation and are itchin' to get back with Agents now.  They're moving into deadbodies' studio soon, so look for them to start playing within the next couple of months.
