Bakuretsu Hunters

  Here in the Spooner Continent,
  Sorcerers ruled over the people
  The government exploited them,
  and the powerless people could do nothing but let their tears roll.
  But these people had a single source of hope.
  This was the existance of a secret group,
  People called them the Sorcerer Hunters.

Hm… Well, Bakuretsu Hunters (translated into Sorcerer Hunters), are exactly what they're titled: Sorcerer Hunters. They hunt down evil or unjust sorcerers abusing the common and powerless people and stop them. Stop them or kill them, which they usually do.

This anime mainly focuses on one particular group consisting of five Hunters: Tira Misu and Chocolate Misu (who are sisters), Marron Glaces and Carrot Glaces (who are brothers), and Gato Mocha. They are in reality, the five reincarnated gods (of tranquility, of life, of righteousness, of destruction, and Guardian of the North.) Well, the cartoon follows them through their assignments and their interaction with Big Mama, head of the Stela Church who organized the Bakuretsu Hunters.

Things come to a head as Zahatorte, former leader of the Haz Knights (Big Mama's bodyguards), on a quest to recreate the world searches for the God of Destruction and is determined to find him, no matter what the cost…

This exciting tale's written by Satoru Akahori and it has 26 anime episodes. (Anyone know how many manga books there are? ^^;;)
