Barnard Parish

Barnanrd Parish was a farmer from Ash (Monroe County). He enlisted in company A on August 6, 1862, and was mustered into service on August 13, 1862. He enlisted as a private, but at some point, he was promoted to sergeant.

His brother John Parish enlisted in company A and joined the Regiment in 1864. Both brothers mustered out with the Regiment at Detroit, June 30, 1865. Later in life Bernard was a resident of Pokagon, Michigan. He attended the Dedication of the 24th Michigan's Monument at "Michigan Day at Gettysburg" , June 12th-14th, 1889.
