Below are the following terrorists and their networks. The one thing that is set in my mind is there is not only one terrorist group we are speaking of here. The main thing to remember here is that it will be a long haul, but also that there is no such thing as a non-state sponsored terrorist organization. If that were the case, terrorist groups would have no safe haven, no one to harbor them and no finances to back their cause.

With this in mind, take a look at the following terrorists and terror groups. These are the men, their states and networks that we are going to have to "smoke out and get on the run" that make up terrorism. The groups we will be taking on to destroy terrorism for good. Granted, it is a daunting task we all have, but my question to you is this: Isn't it dam well worth it?

Misc. Remarks: Ayman Al Zawahiri is a physician and the founder of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad. This organization opposes the secular Egyptian Government and seeks its overthrow through violent means. Al Zawahiri is believed to now serve as an advisor and doctor to Osama Bin Laden and is currently thought to be in Afghanistan. He has been indicted for his alleged role in the August 7, 1998, bombings of the U.S. Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya.
Description: Egyptian Islamic extremist group active since the late 1970s. Appears to be divided into two factions:
  • One led by Ayman al-Zawahiri--who currently is believed to be in Afghanistan and is a key leader in terrorist financier Usama Bin Ladin's new World Islamic Front--
  • Vanguards of Conquest (Talaa' al-Fateh) led by Ahmad Husayn Agiza. Abbud al-Zumar, leader of the original Jihad, is imprisoned in Egypt and recently joined the group's jailed spiritual leader, Shaykh Umar Abd al-Rahman, in a call for a "peaceful front." Primary goal is to overthrow the Egyptian Government and replace it with an Islamic state. Increasingly willing to target US interests in Egypt.
Activities: Specializes in armed attacks against high-level Egyptian Government officials. The original Jihad was responsible for the assassination in 1981 of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. Appears to concentrate on high-level, high-profile Egyptian Government officials, including cabinet ministers. Claimed responsibility for the attempted assassinations of Interior Minister Hassan al-Alfi in August 1993 and Prime Minister Atef Sedky in November 1993. Has not conducted an attack inside Egypt since 1993 and never has targeted foreign tourists there. Has threatened to retaliate against the United States, however, for its incarceration of Shaykh Umar Abd al-Rahman and, more recently, for the arrests of its members in Albania, Azerbaijan, and the United Kingdom.
Strength: Not known, but probably several thousand hardcore members and another several thousand sympathizers among the various factions.
Location/Area of Operation: Operates in the Cairo area. Has a network outside Egypt, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and Sudan.
External Aid: Not known. The Egyptian Government claims that Iran, Sudan, and militant Islamic groups in Afghanistan--including Usama Bin Ladin--support the Jihad factions. Also may obtain some funding through various Islamic nongovernmental organizations.
Taliban Supreme Leader
Known by his title as "Commander of the Faithful" (Amir ul-Mu'mineen), the Taliban supreme leader is a reclusive figure about whom very little is known. He rarely leaves his stronghold of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan - he is reported to have visited the country's capital, Kabul, just once. Many journalists tried to meet Mullah Omar and interview him, but very few succeeded, and Mullah Omar never allowed his voice to be recorded.

Mullah Omar has also never consented to any meetings with non-Muslims or to be photographed, (The above photo being one of the few known). The Taleban authorities have banned the photographing of living objects as non-Muslim.

Mullah Omar, the most powerful of the Taleban leaders, is based in the southern city of Kandahar and has only once visited the capital, Kabul, since its capture by Taleban forces in 1995. The Taliban is based in Afghanistan and is the heart of terrorism as a whole.

Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef said. "We want to tell the American children that Afghanistan feels your pain and we hope that the courts find justice."

How Ironic, wouldn't you agree? Especially since he knew about it all along.

IBN-UL-HATTAB, also known as Khattab
Ameer (Commander) of the Foreign Mujahideen Forces in the Caucasus

Born: 1970
Nationality: GCC Member State in the Arabian Gulf
Languages spoken: Arabic, Russian, English, Pushto
Birthplace: Arabian Gulf
Experience in Jihad: 12 years

Khattab has been likened by many Muslims as the 'Khalid bin Waleed of our times'. He firmly believes that his death will only come at the time written and appointed by Allah, not a minute earlier and not a minute later. He has escaped death and assassination attempts on many occasions, the closest of which was when he was driving a four ton Russian truck, which was bombed by the Russians.

A sleeper is an individual that lives among us only to be "awakened" by the terrorist group to do their "job" whatever that may be. They forgo their normalities and take on the pose of the people around them to make themselves look "normal" so that they can go about their dirty deeds unnoticed.

The most convenient base for Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestine Islamic Jihad and al Qai'da is in the US, not in some foreign country. We offer them a far safer haven than they can find even in their Middle East benefactor nations, such as Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen. They have no freedom of movement or speech in these countries, nor are they protected by a Bill of Rights or a Constitution.

It is easy for these trained agents to infiltrate into the US, and to remain anonymous. They take advantage of their thoroughly developed contacts established through long-term 'sleepers', infiltrators, and from their deep involvement in global drug smuggling and in the American domestic drug trade. Amongst their members are highly qualified computer technicians who have at their disposal advanced computer systems with state of the art encryption technology.

The US has the most advanced communications system in the world, offering easily accessible nation-wide ultra- high-speed fiber optic cable connections. These computer 'crackers' consistently bypass 'secure' corporate and government network firewalls, enabling them to manipulate with complete stealth phone, utility, corporate, bank and government agency records, enabling them to conduct large international monetary fund transfers, channel portions of these funds to operatives in the US, provide them with American identification, and hide the entire operation under accounts of innocent third parties:

They also acquire identification in the US through theft and, when it fits their purposes, murder.
