When all those dumb, self-serving ads tell you that Armageddon is the movie event of the summer... believe them. This is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. I know (I think) that I said in my review of Titanic that I said it was the best movie I've ever seen, but I think this actually is. Titanic was great, but it wasn't a guy movie. This was a guy movie. Instead of a chick movie guys can watch, this is a guy movie chicks can watch. Starring Bruce Willis, Ben Aflack, and Liv Tyler, (Daughter of Steven Tyler- lead singer of Aerosmith.) this story, as you probably know is about the end of the world. I don't want to give anything away, but predictably the world is saved. I'm not going to tell you how though. What makes this movie great, besides the acting, the special effects, and the great action sequences, is the writers. This movie had humor, action, and emotional scenes. I'm not really sure if this is sounding the way I want it to, but just suffice it to say that this was a very, very awesome movie. I recommend with great vehemonce that you go to see this movie. |
