The Rat
The Rat is very charming and popular in character. The Rat is
always on the go and never takes time to sit back and relax.
If they do take the time and step out of the "Rat-race," they
generally get bored rather quickly. The Rat is not easily fooled
and has a good sense of value. Rats want to have the best possessions
and will often go to dramatic heights to get these items. The
greatest difficulty for the Rat is to avoid the traps of overwork
and over ambitious. The Rat is very generous and caring towards
their family and friends, but they have a greedy side which
can lead to trouble. Rats are generous to a fault of those they
truly love.

The Ox
The Ox needs stability in things. They are very patient
and calm and take things slowly. They do not like change and
prefer to take the easiest well-known path rather than the
path less traveled. Hard work and stability appeal most to
the Ox. Besides being calm and slow paced, the Ox has a high
temper that is rarely triggered. If the Ox's temper is triggered,
watch out - an Ox can be a dangerous beast! Ox prefer more
material things in life, and they believe that they must work
hard to get them. They like to lounge around and be lazy,
but they also believe strongly in authority and discipline.
Oxen will not be tempted into doing something they'd rather
not do, so don't force them. The Ox is stubborn and will not
give into your pleas.

The Tiger
To the Chinese, the Tiger is thought of as a magical creature.
Tigers are independent but also loving and kind. The Tiger
represents freedom and fun, but makes decisions too fast which
most often end up being very unwise. When things like this
happen it leads the Tiger into deep depression that they have
a hard time getting out of. Tigers give their all in everything
they do. They love the social life and go out as often as
possible, but they also love family life and children. Tigers
usually are just thought of as a big kid, they lead a roller-
coaster life.

The Rabbit
Rabbits are very peaceful creatures that love spending time
at home. They hate change or anything else that disrupts their
ordered lives. Rabbits are very defending of their territory
and also conservative and conformist. The Chinese think of
the Rabbit as a symbol of longevity. Rabbits avoid difficulty
and danger and live a long life. Rabbits like to indulge in
esthetics and artistic sides of life. Their homes contain
the best furniture, painting, and music available. They would
rather be at home than out celebrating the social side of
life. Since Rabbits try to avoid all dangers in life, it makes
them weak and superficial. To escape reality, they hide in
their own dream worlds.

The Dragon
Dragons want to be the center of attention. They are very
arrogant but also charismatic and colorful. The Chinese see
the Dragon as the luckiest of all creatures. They always need
to be doing something and hate sitting around. Since Dragons
are so empowered with self- confidence, they are usually successful
in anything they do. The restlessness of the Dragon makes
them not follow their plans out to the end, which leaves their
life up and down. Dragons consider themselves to always be
right and cannot accept anyone else's opinion. This makes
them natural born leaders. Dragons are always surrounded by
a large group of admirers, but have few close friends. However,
the friends Dragons do make they keep for life. If there is
trouble in a situation, the Dragon will be the first there
to help deal with it. Besides being difficult and obnoxious,
they are extremely fair. In the world of a Dragon the word
"can't" does not exist.

The Snake
Snakes are charming and sophisticated. They usually have
high moral principals when applied to others. They tend to
be quiet and keep to themselves. They don't like to open themselves
up a lot. They can be good in business by keeping their thoughts
to themselves and then choosing the best moment to strike.
This quality is not limited to the business world only, Snakes
use it in their personal affairs also. Snakes have clear minds
and powerful memories. Be warned, Snakes hold grudges for
very long times without expressing them, all the while waiting
for the best time to get their revenge. Snakes also have the
ability to show anger and hatred more than any other sign.
Good points of the Snake include that they are intelligent
and philosophical. They are the thinkers of the Chinese zodiac.
They love life and enjoy it's pleasures immensely. They can

place. They tend to be prone to erratic behavior and popular
with a wide circle of friends. Since they always seem to be
"horsing around" they are the life of the party. Horses are

when they want. Often times though, Horses are too concerned
with their own freedom and tend to forget about others and

they can't keep. They are day dreamers, who are fundamentally
honest. Being high strung and excitable, they are not very
helpful in times of crises. Horses need constant stimulation

The Dog
Dogs are loyal and honest. They believe in justice for all
and fight for their principles. Dogs dislike beating around
the bush since they are so direct. They are very straight
with people because they like to know the facts themselves.
They always want to make sure everyone is being treated fairly
and equal. Sometimes they are seen as aloof and cynical because
of their strict attention towards lofty social issues. They
are slow to make friends, and view the world in simplest terms.
With Dogs there is no shade of gray: if you're not right,
you must be wrong, if you're not bad, you must be good, and
that's final. If a Dog is on your side they will support you
in any way possible, but if a Dog isn't on your side be warned,
they will treat you with disdain you deserve. On the good
side dogs are very lively, and they use this quality to exceed
in life.
