Cable and the New Mutants track Stryfe to Madripoor and meet with Sunfire. He explains that an experimental drug called "sleet" was released with destructive results on the people of Madripoor. They both suspect Stryfe. The team splits up and tracks the MLF using mini Cerebro computers. Cannonball, Sunfire, Warlock and Boom Boom are the first to encounter new members of the MLF, Sumo, Kamikaze and Dragoness. They are then ambushed by Stryfe who teleports in with Zero and takes them hostage after revealing he plans to poison the water supplies of other major cities with the drug. Cable, Rictor, Sunspot and Wolfsbane are in another part of Madripoor when Cable notices someone approaching rapidly - Wolverine ! He and Cable know each other and apparently don't like each other. The obligatory battle begins.
