(1st appearance: Domino, Deadpool, and Gideon)

We are introduced to a man named Gideon who is working out in a training center much like The Danger room. He discusses plans he has for Emmanuel Da Costa (Sunspot's dad) with his assistant Adam. The scene changes to the real Danger Room where Cable is teaching Cannonball how to quiet his blast field, and showing off some weaponry in his arm. In Brazil, Eve (an agent of Gideon) poisons Emmanuel Da Costa, a wealthy businessman. Back at the mansion again Boomer and Rictor discuss trying to get Wolfsbane back from Genosha, and Rictor decides to go without Cable's permission. In the Library Cable is attacked by Deadpool, a mercenary sent by a Mr. Tolliver to whack him. Cable breaks his jaw and the rest of the team comes to help out, Deadpool puts up a brilliant fight, but is taken out by the latest new character, Domino. She was sent for by Cable, in order to help with the training of his new team. Cable mails Deadpool back to Mr. Tolliver by Federal Express, and he and Domino discuss the possibilities for other teammates. They agree that Rusty Collins, Skids Blevins, Karma, Magma and Mirage are not valuable prospects to the team, but they still need more strength. Cable says he has "taken steps to remedy that". On the last pages we see Rictor sneak off to find Wolfsbane and Gideon approaches Sunspot to tell him that his father died of a heart attack.
