Opens with Jimmy talking to Kevin Doneghann, a reporter and a friend of Theresa. They are discussing Black Tom's recent attack on Flaherty (Tom's lawyer) and how Tom is dying. Cuts to Theresa handling the situation by drinking. She passes out and we see her next talking to Jimmy about her childhood. Cuts to Kevin talking to Cain Marko about Tom and we learn the history of the Cassidy's. From Sean's marriage to Maeve Rourke, how Tom loved her also, to the death of Maeve, and Tom raising Theresa. Cuts to Jimmy and Theresa talking the next day and we learn about of her life and her drinking problem which started at the age of thirteen. They talk about Tom's arrest when Theresa was fifteen and how she could not handle it. Cuts to later in the day, in a church, where Jimmy and Cain are discussing Tom. Jimmy tells Cain that if Tom turns himself in he will get the medical treatment he needs. Cain finally agrees. At Maeve Rourke's grave Tom and Theresa meet. They have a family discussion and Tom tries to make peace with his mistakes. Tom then turns himself in and life goes on.

The New Warriors 45:

Opens with Gamemaster telling Boomer, Cannonball, and Magma what has happened to them and the premise of the last issue (X-Force 32). Cuts to the New Warriors headquarters where they discuss the Younghunt and about Justice's plan with Shaw. They are attacked by a group called the Tribunal who are after Firestar. Cuts again to Madipoor where Moonstar and Empath are looking for Xi'an. They are attacked by Siena Blaze who is also looking for Xi'an. Siena suddenly stops attacking and it is revealed that Xi'an has taken control over her mind. Returns back to the New Warriors who are able to stop the Tribunal with the help of Justice. Justice tells Firestar of his plan to turn her over to Shaw. Firestar goes along with if it means stopping the game. Cuts to Tokyo and Shaw's penthouse where Justice gives hime Firestar. Shaw tells Justice of his plan to destroy the Upstarts and Gamemaster. Shaw believes that the Gamemaster cannot read his thoughts because the apartment is psi proof but he is wrong. At the end we see Siena Blaze returning to Gamemaster with her three new mutants, Karma, Moonstar, and Empath! Continues in X-Force 33.
