Opens with Cable and Domino standing alone against Nimrod (see last issue). The scientist Valerie Hawkins, who helped create Nimrod, looks on in dread. Nimrod starts attacking and hits Cable. Domino is able to thinks fall in place preventing her from being hit. Valerie runs over to Cable and tells him this is not what she and her team wanted to create. Domino is finally stopped and as Nimrod is about to shoot her 'Star steps in and attacks. The rest of the team (except for Boomer and Cannonball, they are on vacation) gives Nimrod all they got which is not slowing him. Cable, Valerie and another scientist decide to attack Nimrod's mind. Valerie tells Nimrod to figure out how many humans will die if he tries to kill all mutants. Unable to cope with the figures, Nimrod decides it is safer for humans and mutants to coexist and shuts itself down. Cable then takes the robot's central neural net and the team leaves. Closes with a shot of Sam at his Kentucky home answering the door to find the Externals.
